2008-06-26: Shots of Earl I couldn't resist: not the highest res, but that's cell cameras for you:

Meanwhile, I'm back to work on my next velomobile, pics below. I'm working with Reg Rodaro in N-o-t-L on putting a glass fairing and tailbox on my familiar single-track S&B, linking front and back with fabric for the remainder of the profile - necessary compromises. Reg, incidentally, built the Cuda-W for Warren Beauchamp for the, er, 2005 Human Powered Speed Challenge in Battle Mountain, NV. I attended as a spectator, if you recall.

2008-02-11: The winter-camping weekend around Carnarvon, owing to knee, didn't permit distance skiing or snowshoeing, unfortunately, so I hung around the camp, cut wood, and read (the Navigator of New York). It was downright balmy this year, with lows around -12C, highs around -5C.
Work continues to go swimmingly: I gave a paper at the SAA's in Vancouver on Hamilton's impending Archaeology Management Plan. As for the nanny, well, third times a charm, hopefully. Earl continues to be a great lad, and life is good!
2007-10-31: Well, I survived the 2007 edition of the He-Man expedition in upstate New York: only a few scratches on my behalf, though we had some definite casualities this year - details on that site. I remain the master of El Whoppo, though a whipper-snapper 10 years my junior nearly had me beat: experience pays off.
