When working in contract archaeology, I used to send up a kite and tie it to a post, just to have it up in the air to watch through the day, as I worked. There is something magical about kites for me.

Well, I'll give you more details later, but I just had to fill in this bit, to have a page here. Well, a little bit more detail.

I have a number of kites: a big delta about 1.5m long and 2m wide, along with a couple of dragon kites, and a stunt kite. Those are the functional ones. I picked up a rooster kite at the Canadian National Museum of Civilization (formerly Man & his Wife), which will fly, but is paper so I choose to use it mainly for decoration.

Yeah, more later on my friends with kites, and so forth. Check in occasionally...
